The Institute receives EU grant to advance its infrastructure
On Monday 28 May 2018 at the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education, the official signing of contracts on the funding of projects from the domain of research equipment and infrastructure was held. The total funding of the projects approved for funding within this Call amounts to 1 billion HRK (ca. 150 mil. €) and one of the projects signed was that of the Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health, entitled “Research and Education Centre for Environmental Health and Radiation Protection“.
The Institute plans to start with the implementation of this EU-funded project immediately and its expected completion, which includes adding a brand new research centre to the existing buildings of the Institute, completely refurbishing the Institute’s current main building, and acquiring new research equipment for its various units, is within the following 50 months.
There to formally mark the commencement of the projects were the Minister Prof Blaženka Divjak and the Director of the Central Finance and Contracting Agency Mr Tomislav Petric.
The EU funds within this Call represent the single largest investment into Croatian research infrastructure and equipment in the last ten years.
