International Conference and 14th Croatian Scientific and Professional Meeting AIR PROTECTION 2025
From 21st to 25th October 2025, the International Conference and the 14th Croatian Scientific and Professional Meeting AIR PROTECTION 2025 took place in Zadar, Croatia. The main oganizer of the event was the Croatian Air Pollution Prevention Association (CAPPA), in cooperation with the Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health, the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service, the European Federation of Clean Air and Environmental Protection Associations (EFCA), and the International Union of Air Pollution Prevention and Environmental Protection Associations (IUAPPA). The Conference covered a broad range of topics related to air quality and environmental protection, including:
- Air quality management
- Air pollution sources and emissions
- Ambient air pollution monitoring
- Machine learning and air quality modelling
- Development and testing of measurement methods
- Health impacts of air pollution
- Indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and healthy buildings
- Climate and environmental impacts of air pollution
Two special sessions were also held – the EFCA session “Methane Time” and the IUAPPA session, which addressed global issues of air protection. The conference was attended by more than 120 participants, who presented 44 oral presentations and 22 poster presentations. The Institute’s staff actively participated in the organization of the event as members of the Organizing and Scientific Committees, through oral and poster presentations, and as authors and co-authors of 19 abstracts published in the Book of Abstracs.
